Usability Testing
Many organisations squander their investment in technology solutions due to poor attention to the usability of the end product. While they may have made a useful product, most of that usefulness is not appreciated by customers or staff who find it difficult and unintuitive to use.
Usability testing is an activity in which astute organisations invest early and often during the building of technologies to ensure the end product is intuitive. Showing a version of the technology to the end user so they can provide feedback on it's ease of use allows for organisations to make any improvements before it is too late.
Many organisations make the mistake of doing usability testing only when the final product is built. In effect, the poor results from these tests are a 'post mortem' whereby it is too late to fix any serious issues.
To maximise success and investment, usability testing should start on a prototype before real software building begins. Different provides expert usability consulting and testing services. For best results, testing should be done in line with the Different Approach.
